Advanced issue filtering and directory tree

Our team at Sider is happy to announce the release of the latest functionality we’ve been working on — advanced filtering and a directory tree on the pull request page.

The functionality was created to supplement your current workflow, the main goal was to take the pain out of reviewing pull requests with a large number of issues (around 20 and up) while keeping the work of smaller numbers just as fast and straightforward as before.

Let’s have a look at this in greater detail.

Advanced filter

On the right side of the usual filters, you can now find the Advanced option, this will present you with a way to filter issues by either Tool or Rule ID, click Apply to refresh the filtered options.

The tool name and rule ID are also available on the card as well, simply click on the chip for the condition to be applied to the overall filter. This way, you can see all the similar issues with just one click.

Directory tree

Another development to make your life easier is the new directory tree view available via the toggle button on the left side under Issues. You can filter issues relevant to a single file or a directory, and you could also reset to go back to the full overview.

Our team is always looking for ways to improve Sider and make it a joy for developers to work with, so if you have any suggestions or opinions, please never hesitate to reach out and let us know!
